Terms and conditions
Last updated 22 September 2026
FiberBoard ("the service") is provided by Sam Lopez Jr ("we", "us"). By creating an account or continuing to use the service you agree to these terms. If you are using FiberBoard on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for that company. If you are using it as an individual, you confirm you are of legal age.
The service
FiberBoard reads photographs of fiber splice whiteboards and produces cut sheets, PDF sheets, spreadsheets and Google Earth files from them. Access is sold as a monthly subscription per technician account. Automated reading of handwriting is not perfect: you are responsible for checking every generated sheet against the physical board before using it in the field or filing it with a customer.
Your account
- Keep your sign-in details confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account.
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
- One account is for one technician. Accounts must not be shared between people.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the service for anything unlawful, or for fraud or spam;
- upload content you do not have the right to upload, or that infringes anyone's rights;
- interfere with the security of the service — no malware, probing, penetration testing, automated scraping or circumventing usage limits;
- reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the service.
We may remove content and suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations.
Your content
Your photographs, jobs and cut sheets remain yours. You grant us a limited licence to host and process them solely to provide the service to you. Photographs are sent to an automated image reading provider for the purpose of extracting the values written on the board.
Our intellectual property
We own the service, its software, documentation, branding and the FiberBoard whiteboard layout. You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service and to print and use the whiteboard template for your own splicing work while your subscription is active.
Payment and subscription terms
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Payment, billing, currency, tax, renewal, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. If a payment fails, adding new boards is paused until the payment method is fixed.
Service level and warranties
We work to keep FiberBoard available but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of the service is capped at the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, including lost profits, lost data or loss of goodwill. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.
You indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.
Ending your subscription
You can cancel at any time. When a subscription ends you keep access to view and download the jobs and cut sheets you already created, but cannot add new boards until you subscribe again. You may request deletion of your data at any time.
General
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, and disputes are subject to the courts of that state. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond their reasonable control. We may update these terms and will post the new version here.
