Privacy notice
Last updated 22 September 2026
Sam Lopez Jr ("we", "us") provides FiberBoard and is the data controller for the personal data described here. This notice explains what we collect, why, who we share it with and what rights you have.
What we collect and why
- Account data — email address and sign-in credentials. Used to create and secure your account and to contact you about the service. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- Job content — whiteboard photographs, splice details, GPS coordinates you record, templates and generated cut sheets. Used to provide the service and store your work. Legal basis: performance of our contract.
- Usage and technical data — how many boards you have captured, feature usage, error logs, device identifiers and IP address. Used for security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting and improving the product. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- Support messages — what you send us when you ask for help. Used to answer you. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- Marketing emails — only if you opt in. Legal basis: consent, withdrawable at any time.
Card details are never collected or stored by us; payment data is handled by our payment provider.
Who we share it with
- Service providers — hosting, database and authentication providers, and an automated image-reading provider that processes your whiteboard photographs to extract the values written on them.
- Merchant of Record — Paddle.com, for the sale of the product, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
- Professional advisers — legal and accounting advisers where necessary.
- Authorities — where we are required to disclose by law.
We do not sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
Account and job data is kept while your account exists and for up to 90 days after you delete it, so the deletion can be reversed if it was a mistake. Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires. Data we no longer need is deleted or anonymised.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and per-account data isolation so one technician cannot read another's jobs.
Cookies
We use essential cookies and local browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember app settings. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear this storage in your browser, though you will need to sign in again.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict or export your personal data, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or withdraw consent for marketing. Email support@splicelog.app and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the UK or EEA you also have the right to complain to your supervisory authority. Our providers are based in the United States; where data leaves the UK or EEA we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
